Meet Blanche!! Blanche Devereaux, Sweet Southern Belle” Just like her Golden Girls namesake, Blanche is all heart, all charm, and full of sweetness. She is the ultimate cuddle bug who loves everybody and everything, but beneath that loving nature is a gentle, timid girl who’s still learning about the world, and sometimes needs to retreat between her foster mom’s legs to assess new or scary situations. When her foster is at work and overnight, Blanche does great in her playpen. She sleeps soundly in her dog bed, entertains herself with toys, and reliably uses puppy pads while continuing to work hard on potty training. She’s also making nice progress with her manners—“sit” is coming along beautifully. At her vet visit, Blanche had a positive Ortolani sign, meaning she currently has some looseness in her hips. This may improve as she grows, though there is a chance she could develop hip dysplasia later on. Her future family should be prepared to monitor her mobility and provide supportive care if needed.
